Infant Oral Care

Parents who are well-educated in children’s dental health can more adequately ensure that a child’s oral care needs are met.

Decay Prevention

Keeping a child’s teeth strong and healthy requires preventative measures. Prevention is the foundation of all we do!

Pulpal Therapy & Crowns

A dental treatment used to treat and preserve a child’s natural tooth that has been affected by an injury or tooth decay.

Tooth-Colored Fillings

Modern dentistry has made it possible to fill cavities discreetly using tooth-colored fillings, also known as composites.

Now Offering the Latest Sedation Methods!

Nitrous Oxide

Often referred to as laughing gas, is used by dentists to help your child relax during treatment. It is a safe sedative that is combined with oxygen and inhaled through a small mask during treatment. Once treatment is complete and the mask is removed, the effects of nitrous oxide fade quickly as fresh air is breathed into the lungs.

Oral Sedation

Your child’s experience is designed to be as positive as possible. Our team members will always take the time to explain the rationale for this recommendation, and will discuss your expectations from start to finish.

General Anesthesia

For some children, dental treatment under general anesthesia is necessary to provide the best possible experience while still completing all necessary treatment. Anesthesia is recommended for several different reasons including: previous traumatic experiences, extensive needs, special healthcare needs, or generally high anxiety or fear of the dentist.

Parents Love Our Gentle Approach!

We pride ourselves on providing care with the same sensitivity and compassion our loved ones receive. Your child’s needs will always be addressed in a collaborative manner.

Why Choose a Pediatric Dentist?

Starting regular checkups early in your child’s life allow us to catch decay and signs of gum disease before they become serious, so we can correct any underlying hygiene issues and prevent problems. We can also identify and address potential orthodontic problems before they evolve into bigger money- and time-consuming issues.

A Fun & Inviting Atmosphere!

Your child deserves an outstanding experience at the dentist. At Southern Smiles Pediatric Dentistry, you can expect to have all your questions answered in a warm and transparent manner.
